ABOUT US
The Accessible West Virginia Association is Non-Profit registered 501 (c) Association formed by caring & active members of the Community.
We are fortunate to have a rich heritage of Community activism, and Social welfare works in our founders. Their’ charitable works have been well documented and extraordinary. We hope to continue to: “keep lit the mantle of hope” in this tradition.
Though founded as “private” association, we seek to serve the community and public,(at large) as both, an agent of direct action, and through our affiliated association’s actions and other non-profits with parallel objectives.
One thing, about the Association, that is "different and new" is that: Our General Board Meetings will be open to the General Public, for comment and needs communication. Membership is open also and there are fees associated with membership, so it may include, any person with an interest in our work!
MISSION STATEMENT:
The Accessible West Virginia Association exists to do all the good we can, in all the ways we can, in all the places we can, at all the times we can, for all the people we can, and as long as we possibly can.
The Accessible West Virginia Association is a human rights advocacy group that partners with other local activists, and Non-Profits to enhance the lives of the Large Group of Our' citizens that are marginalized and termed: “Elderly/Aged, Disabled /Handicap, Low-Income/Poverty, Military Veterans”, and any citizen who needs our services; to Promote and Foster Independent Living, and Full Accessibility, through our various internal
programs, as well as; resource identification and referral(s).
We seek to accomplish these goals through: information, education, and effort, utilizing modern technology, as well as traditional means of communication. The Ultimate goal of which is to better our Communities and Nation.
